About the Artist, Robert Luckin
In October of 1974, I completed my first pen and ink drawing. Since then I have completed several thousand pen and ink drawings. As a self-taught artist I learned the art of print-making and have produced etchings, engravings, lithographs, silkscreens and giclée limited edition prints.
I have received numerous awards for my work and have enjoyed one-man shows from New York to California. My work has been seen, and collected all over the world.
This is the first year I have enlisted a computer in the creative process. The slide show of original prints for the year 2006 and 2007 have been created by using many tools that include pen and ink, airbrush, and digital software. Each piece is created by hand in layers for the purpose of scanning. After scanning, the work is moved into various computer programs. This allows the computer to be used as a tool in the process of creating an original fine art print. The prints you have viewed are original, limited edition giclées, not reproductions of already existing works created in another medium. All works are signed, numbered, copyrighted, and printed on archival, acid-free paper with archival inks.
